Humanitarian actors rely on safe and secure movements to operate in high-risk areas.
During the first half of 2026, UNDSS colleagues worked alongside humanitarian partners to support safe and sustained movements and access across Gaza. With support from DG ECHO funding, security teams coordinated, facilitated, and monitored missions and movements in close partnership with UN and humanitarian organizations.
Each mission required coordination and attention to changing conditions. The work continues.
