The United Nations is undergoing significant change, from organizational reform and advances in artificial intelligence (AI) to evolving operational priorities and new ways of working.
How do we continue to learn, adapt and thrive through this change?
Join the Capacity Development and Operational Training Service (CDOTS) for the ¡°UN Skills Fest 2026: People at the Centre¡± on 29 October 2026, from 9:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in person at the United Nations Learning Centre for Multilingualism and Career Development (UNHQ, 3rd Basement).
As AI, technology and new ways of working, reshape our Organization, ¡°People at the Centre¡± reflects a simple idea: our ability to navigate change depends not only on technology, but also on the skills that connect and empower us. Communication, collaboration, creativity, leadership, languages, adaptability and human connection, are more important than ever.
UN Skills Fest brings these elements together, connecting colleagues with practical tools, fresh ideas and learning opportunities from across the United Nations system. The programme will feature keynote addresses by two bestselling authors and leading thinkers on how we work, lead and adapt: David Rock, co-founder and CEO of the NeuroLeadership Institute, and Seth Godin, entrepreneur and renowned thinker on leadership and meaningful work. Spark Talks and interactive learning experiences will explore topics ranging from storytelling and challenging conversations to data privacy, AI, career development, language learning and more.
Whether you join for the full programme or drop in for a session between meetings, UN Skills Fest is an opportunity to discover practical resources, exchange ideas and connect with colleagues from across the Secretariat and the wider United Nations system.
