This new report highlights how United Nations Police (UNPOL) and Member States are working together to promote gender equality and strengthen the role of women in policing and peace operations. It also shows how these efforts support the UN's Women, Peace and Security Agenda and broader commitments to peace, security, and sustainable development.
In 2025, UNPOL focused on three key areas:
Making policing more gender-responsive by ensuring the different needs and experiences of women, men, girls, and boys are considered in policing policies, training, and daily operations.
