Gaza<\/span>: too many of our staff are being killed as our buildings are attacked. <\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, <\/span>UNRWA <\/span>continues to be the target of a barrage of misinformation & disinformation. <\/span><\/p>\n

This includes attempts of justifying the killing of staff by labeling them operatives of armed groups like Hamas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Such horrific claims, made publicly, are not backed by evidence & are dangerous. <\/span><\/p>\n

Most importantly, they instigate fear among our humanitarian frontline workers in Gaza. <\/span><\/p>\n

Several colleagues told us they no longer feel safe to put on the UNRWA vest. <\/span><\/p>\n

Their children are begging them not to go to work fearing they might be killed while in UNRWA buildings. <\/span><\/p>\n

The misinformation attacks are not about the neutrality of <\/span>UNRWA<\/span> or our humanitarian workers. <\/span><\/p>\n
