ON PRESENTATION OF ‘ROAD MAP’ TO ISRAELIS, PALESTINIANS<\/u><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for Secretary-General Kofi Annan:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tThe Secretary-General welcomes the <\/span>statement by President Bush<\/a> this morning that the <\/span>Road Map<\/a> of the Quartet will be presented to the Israelis and Palestinians once the Palestinian Prime Minister has been confirmed in office. Since December 2002, the Secretary-General has been pressing for the Road Map to be adopted and presented to the parties as soon as possible. <\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tThe Secretary-General urges that, once the Road Map has been presented, its implementation by the parties will be pursued with persistence and determination.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
