Vassilakis (Greece):<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The members of the Security Council unequivocally condemned the terrorist bombing in Lebanon today that killed one person north of Beirut and wounded several others, including Lebanon&#8217;s Defence Minister, Elias Al-Murr.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The members of the Security Council expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the people and Government of Lebanon and to the victims and their families.&#160; They conveyed to those wounded their best wishes for a speedy recovery.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The members of the Security Council welcomed the determination of the Government of Lebanon to bring to justice the perpetrators, organizers and sponsors of this attack.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The members of the Security Council strongly condemned the continuation of political assassinations and other terrorist acts in Lebanon.&#160; They warned that those responsible for such acts will not be permitted to undermine the stability, national unity, full sovereignty and political independence of Lebanon.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The members of the Security Council expressed also their condemnation of today&#8217;s terrorist attack in the city of Natanya, Israel.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:center;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>* *** *<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#160; Following is the Security Council press statement on the Middle East, delivered today by Council President Adamantios Th.
