The Israeli delegation complained that on 14 July 1952, an armed group from Transjordan had attacked an Israeli copper mine in Wadi Araba about twenty miles north of the Port of Elath on the Gulf of Aqaba, and, in the course of the attack had murdered five Israeli civilians. Two United Nations observers flew to Elath on 16 July and investigated the complaint. At the meeting of the Mixed Armistice Commission on 24 July, the Israeli delegation moved a resolution according to which that attack by an armed and organized group from Transjordan was a flagrant breach of Article III, paragraph 2 of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/unispal.un.org\/pdfs\/E450A4C18F4EE4D085256D96006272BF.pdf\" style=\"color:#0000ff;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">General Armistice Agreement<\/a><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">.<span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>The Jordan delegation voted against the Israeli resolution and the Chairman obtained, considering that there was no proof that the attackers had come from Transjordan&#8221;.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">Page 12 &#8212; Add the following text at the end of paragraph 38:<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:5px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t&#8220;On 6 November the Israeli police in the Jewish section of Mount Scopus filled in the semi-fox holes end slit trenches around MR 173.05-13328 thus restoring the area to its state of 4 April 1952. The observation post on the top of one of the hospital buildings has also been eliminated and the sand bag emplacements have been removed.
