Cairo, February 11<\/u> – The Arab Higher Committee for Palestine is urging the Arab League to approve a Palestinian national Arab congress meeting within the next few weeks, according to Jamal Husseini, committee vice-chairmen. The purpose would be to convene a body which might elect a new Arab Higher Committee to help direct the Arab war effort.<\/p><\/div>\n

A Palestinian Arab congress, he said, would consist of representatives of the Country’s 24 National Committees which have been organized in the last 3 months on direct defense in Arab communities in Palestine.
