Discussion of procedure in connection with forthcoming debate on the Jerusalem question in the ad hoc Political Committee <\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

After considerable discussion of two draft texts, presented by the French and United States delegations respectively, of an address to be read by the Chairman of the Commission at the opening of the debate, the Commission agreed to accept the United States text, with certain drafting amendments.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The Commission also agreed<\/i>, that a draft resolution supporting the Commission proposal should be presented, in the course of the debate, by all three of the delegations represented on the Commission, and, further, that following the opening address by the Chairman of the Commission, all three delegations represented on the Commission would speak, led by the United States delegation.<\/p><\/div>\n

The PRINCIPAL SECRETARY pointed out that although the incident described in the telegram was of an unusually serious nature, there was no action required of the Commission; the telegram was simply an information copy of a message sent to the Secretary-General.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The Commission agreed<\/i> <\/i>to take note of the contents of the telegram and acknowledge its receipt.<\/p><\/div>\n
