The following communication, concerning postal services in Palestine, has been received from Mr. Fletcher-Cooke of the United Kingdom Delegation.<\/p><\/div>\n

My Dear Bunche,<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

May I refer to Federspiel’s letter to me of the 8th April and previous correspondence relating to postal arrangements in Palestine after the termination of the Mandate.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

2. I have now been informed by Nis Majesty’s Government that on the 15th April a telegram was sent by the General Post Office in London to the Universal Postal Union, Berne, Switzerland, to the effect that the Postal Administration to Palestine had given notice that it could not undertake responsibility for registered air mail correspondence reaching Palestine after the 30th April, and unregistered air mail correspondence reaching Palestine after the 7th May.<\/p><\/div>\n

3. The Bureau of the Universal Postal Union was asked to advise all Administrations who are members of the Union accordingly.<\/p><\/div>\n

4. I am sending a copy of this letter direct to Federspiel:<\/p><\/div>\n
