My dear Bunche:<\/p><\/div>\n

May I refer you to my letters of the 4th and 18th February on the subject of the Palestine Museum in Jerusalem.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Having regard to Mr. John D. Rockefeller Jr.’s views expressed in Mr. Packard’s letter of the 11th February (a copy of which was enclosed in <\/span>my letter<\/a> to you of the 18th February), I have been asked to ascertain as soon as possible whether the Commission agree both to the short-term and long-term proposals of the Government of Palestine for the future of the Museum. These proposals were set out in my letter of the 4th February to the President of the Rockefeller Foundation (a copy of which was enclosed in <\/span>my letter<\/a> to you of the 4th February), and in particular I would invite your attention to Paragraphs 2, 4 and 5 of that<\/span> letter<\/a>.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

I should, therefore, be grateful if you would inform me as soon as possible whether the Commission agree with these proposals and whether the Commission wish any approach to be made to Mr. L.H. Iliffe, the present Keeper of the Museum.<\/p><\/div>\n
