Sir,<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

I have the honour to refer to your <\/span>letter of the 31st October 1951<\/a> and in reply to state that since the beginning of the Paris talks two months ago, the Jordan delegation have not been sparing in their efforts to render every possible assistance to your honourable Commission in its sincere and tireless endeavours to achieve a just and peaceful settlement of the Palestine problem within the framework of the United Nations’ resolutions.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

2. The Jordan delegation will continue without fail to follow this same course in the future.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

3. The Jordan delegation, however, observes that the deadlock which exists as between the honourable Commission and the Israel delegation, and which arose out of the intransigeant attitude of the latter, on the subject of the declaration of peaceful intentions by the parties concerned, has virtually brought the activities of the Commission to a standstill. It has, therefore, become imperative to enquire as to what steps the honourable Commission proposes to take in the event of a continuation of this deadlock.<\/p><\/div>\n

4. The delay in reply to your letter is very much regretted.<\/p><\/div>\n
