At least 85% of the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility&#8217;s vehicle fleet have been unable to operate, affecting&nbsp;the supply of drinking&nbsp;water, sewage treatment and the maintenance of existing&nbsp;sewage networks. Piles of solid waste are acumulating&nbsp;in the streets, which may cause widespread environmental and sanitary&nbsp;problems.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#183;<span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>A total of 45 rockets and 26 mortars were fired at Israel, compared to 42 rockets and 31mortars fired the previous week. Twenty-seven mortars were additionally&nbsp;fired at IDFsoldiers inside the Gaza Strip, which is significantly&nbsp;lower than the 71 mortars fired at IDF ground forces in Gaza the previous week.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-top:9px;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>West Bank:<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#183;<span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>The IDF shot and killed a Palestinian man at Shani checkpoint, claiming&nbsp;that he had atempted to stab a soldier (Hebron). The IDF also physically&nbsp;assaulted a Palestinian man at &#8216;Azzun &#8216;Atma barrier checkpoint (Qalqiliya).<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#183;<span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>Six Palestinians and two international activists were injured by Israeli setlers in four reported incidents throughout the West Bank.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#183;<span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>On 30 April, 396 Palestinian security&nbsp;officers were deployed in Jenin governorate. During&nbsp;the week, four Palestinians (including&nbsp;one bystander) were injured in clashes with these forces in Qabatiya town (Jenin).<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#183;<span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>The IDF imposed a general closure on the West Bank due to Holocaust Memorial Day, denying&nbsp;Palestinian permit holders access to East Jerusalem and Israel, except for emergency&nbsp;medical cases and employees at international organizations.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#183;<span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>The IDF closed the sewing&nbsp;workshop&nbsp;affiliated with the Islamic Charitable Society&nbsp;for a period of three years and confiscated its contents (sewing&nbsp;machines, textiles, ironing&nbsp;boards). While the closure and confiscation order issued in late February&nbsp;stipulated that the contents of targeted establishments would become owned by the IDF, the IDF threw away&nbsp;the workshop&#8217;s contents in the city&nbsp;dump. As a result of the closure of the workshop, part of whose products were freely&nbsp;distributed to the orphanages owned by the Society, 15 female workers lost their jobs (Hebron).<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:9pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#183;<span class=\"Apple-tab-span\" style=\"white-space:pre; font-size:smaller\">\t<\/span>123 IDF search operations and 123 arrests\/detentions of Palestinians were reported; this is, respectively, 14% and 98% higher than searches and arrests reported last week.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:center;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">Full report:<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OFFICE FOR THE COORDINATION OF HUMANITARIAN AFFAIRS P.O.
