3. Environment in the Occupied Palestinian Territories <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

1.<\/span>\t<\/span>In response to <\/span>decision 22\/1 V (Environment in the Occupied Palestinian Territories)<\/u><\/span>, activities include the following: <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

§\t<\/span><\/span>Initiated a project to undertake a post disengagement environmental assessment in the Gaza settlements;<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

§\t<\/span><\/span>Completed the satellite image analyses and proposed new images acquired after disengagement;<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

§\t<\/span><\/span>Held a meeting of the expert group, Geneva, 6 September, whose participants will undertake the Gaza settlements assessment mission;<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

§\t<\/span><\/span>Undertook a stakeholder mission, Israel, 13-15 September, to discuss the post disengagement environmental audit with various stakeholders. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
