Owing to an ongoing shortage of facilities, the structure houses two of UNRWA&#39;s 119 schools in Syria, and will provide basic education for 1,000 students.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-top:5px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;color:#000000;padding-bottom:5px;text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\tThe music centre in the facility extends the Agency&#39;s partnership with the Dutch NGO <i>Music in Me<\/i>, which is now supporting musical education for refugee children in five camps throughout Syria.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-top:5px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;color:#000000;padding-bottom:5px;text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\tUNRWA Commissioner-General Karen Koning AbuZayd, thanking donors and partners, announced: &quot;Today we witness how creative partnership between private citizens, host governments, the donor community and UNRWA can produce positive, tangible results.&quot;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-top:5px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;color:#000000;padding-bottom:5px;text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\tThe ceremony included a musical performance by the children of Yarmouk Camp&#39;s Nimreen Music Centre and the planting of olive trees.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<div style=\"padding-top:5px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;color:#000000;padding-bottom:5px;text-align:left;margin-left:20px;\">\n\t\t\t\tUNRWA is a humanitarian and human development agency providing education, health care, social services, micro-credit support to over 4 million registered refugees living in the Gaza Strip, West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.
