In October 2015 the con&#173;flict, including violent clashes between Palestinian civilians and Israeli forces, es&#173;calated and spread out from East Jerusalem. In the Gaza Strip, basic infrastruc&#173;ture and services have deteriorated due to years of blockade and outbreaks of hostilities.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">Across the occupied Palestinian territory there is 26% food insecurity and 25% poverty. OCHA estimates that 2.3 million people need humanitarian assist&#173;ance, including 1.2 million refugees.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#0060a0;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>Health Sector Situation<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">The protracted occupation and blockade has had a direct impact on the health of Palestinians, for example, from violence-related deaths, traumas and injuries, and mental health disorders.There are also indirect impacts as a result of ob&#173;stacles to the essential health and nutrition services, which represent a viola&#173;tion of the right to health.The internal Palestinian divide has also affected the quality and availability of health care in Gaza.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#0060a0;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>Health Cluster Objectives<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>Objective I: Providing access to quality and affordable primary health care and nutrition services in the West Bank, namely in Area C, in East Jerusalem and in the Gaza Strip in areas or to groups where access is lacking.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">Planned outputs:<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226;
