\n\t\t\t\tThe urgency of addressing the situation in Gaza in the aftermath of the flotilla incident is among matters at the forefront of Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's concerns.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tHe told reporters Friday he's encouraged that the Israeli government is reviewing its policy, and by its recent decision to allow more goods.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\tBut he says much more is required to really meet the needs of the people.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tAnd he continues to call for a fundamental change in the policies that apply to Gaza.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tWith respect to an inquiry into the flotilla incident.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t"Israel, as you know, has announced the formation of a public Commission. Indeed, a thorough Israeli investigation is important. As you know, the Security Council called for a prompt, impartial, credible and transparent investigation conforming to international standards. I have proposed an international panel, under the aegis of a third party and in which both Turkey and Israel would actively participate. I will continue my efforts to achieve this."\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
