Gaza Strip:<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>23 Palestinians were killed and 70 others were injured in the Gaza Strip.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>The Israeli Air Force carried out 15 air strikes on the Gaza Strip.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>A commercial strike was organised in several areas of the Gaza Strip to protest against the IDF operation in Gaza City (Gaza).<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>Between 18 and 22 January, crowds of people gathered in front of bakeries and petrol stations throughout the Gaza Strip in anticipation of the exhaustion of fuel supplies.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>The Gaza power plan shut down on 21 January. More than 800,000 people were affected and hospitals had to declare a state of emergency.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>On 22 January, the Israeli authorities allowed the entry of 765,000 litres of industrial fuel into Gaza, enabling the power plant to resume operations for three days. In addition, 13 out of 50 scheduled truckloads of food and medicine were delivered to the Gaza Strip by international organisations.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>255,000 litres of diesel entered the Gaza Strip but none was delivered to stations due to a strike by the Palestinian Gas Station Owners Association (distributors).<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>147 Qassams and 82 mortars were fired towards Israel. Three Israelis were injured by Qassam rockets this week.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

West Bank:<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>Three Palestinians were killed and 12 others were injured by the IDF. In addition, Israeli settlers injured six Palestinians in the H2 area of Hebron City.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>One IDF soldier was injured in an exchange of fire in Tulkarm. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>Israeli settlers cut down 23 and 20 olive trees in land belonging to Palestinians from ‘Einabus and As Sawiya villages, respectively (Nablus).<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>For the second week in a row, Palestinians travelling between Bir Nabala and Biddu enclaves using the only dirt track road available and crossing through Ramot Allon<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

checkpoint experienced long delays of up to 30 minutes due to prolonged ID checks by the Israeli Border Police.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>The IDF evicted five Bedouin families (30 people) from an area near Al Jib (Jerusalem) and ordered them to disassemble their tents (five), two storage structures and four animal pens.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>40 curfew hours, 55 flying checkpoints, 98 IDF search operations and 127 arrests were reported.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>Seven search operations by Palestinian security forces and 19 arrests were reported.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
