\nMr. Nickolay Mladenov, on a shooting attack in the occupied West Bank <\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/strong><\/span>Jerusalem, 1 October 2015<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

“I condemn this evening’s shooting attack on an Israeli civilian vehicle which resulted in the death of two people and injuries to their four children in the occupied West Bank.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

There is nothing heroic about the killing of civilians. The perpetrators of this violent act must be brought to justice.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

In order to avoid escalation all must refrain from inflammatory statements and retaliatory action that can only further exacerbate an already tense environment.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

This tragic incident, once again, highlights the need for significant steps that help stabalise the situation, reverse the current negative trends and restore hope that a just and lasting negotiated two-state solution is possible.”<\/p><\/div>\n
