Gaza Strip: <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span><\/span>− <\/span>Intensification of hostilities in the Gaza Strip: <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t <\/span>A total of 24 Qassam rockets and five mortar shells were fired by Palestinians towards Israel. One of the rockets impacted in Israel, injuring two Israelis. <\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t <\/span>The IAF launched two air strikes, one targeting a Palestinian vehicle carrying suspected Islamic Jihad members and resulting in the death of one of the occupants and a second time targeting a rocket launch site. <\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t <\/span>IDF soldiers opened fire from the border fence at two Palestinians north of Beit Lahia, killing one Palestinian and arresting the other. In another incident an IDF tank stationed at the border fence east of Khan Younis fired five tank shells (no injuries were reported). <\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t <\/span>The IDF opened fire at fishing boats off the Gaza Strip coastline on three occasions (west of Beit Lahia, Nuserit camp and Rafah). <\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t <\/span>The IDF entered the Gaza Strip on five separate occasions; twice to conduct levelling and excavation operations in the south; twice in the north, arresting two Palestinians and opening fire at Palestinian farmers; and to conduct a house-to-house operation near Sufa crossing under heavy helicopter gunfire. <\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n

\t<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

− <\/span>A total of three Palestinians were killed and 23 injured during internal violence, including two women killed in honour related crimes. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

−  <\/span>The BBC’s Gaza correspondent, Alan Johnston, has been missing for more than eight weeks after being abducted on 12 March. This week his capturers made demands for the release of Muslim prisoners in British jails. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

West Bank: <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span><\/span>− <\/span>Three Palestinians were killed by an IDF Undercover Unit in Jenin when the Unit fired at their vehicle. A total of 17 Palestinians were injured by the IDF and Israeli settlers. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

− <\/span>An Israeli man guarding a gas station in Ramallah governorate was seriously injured when unknown gunmen opened fire at him from a passing vehicle. The IDF subsequently put the nearby Deir Qaddis village under curfew. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Ongoing and escalating PA strikes: <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span><\/span>− <\/span>Industrial action amongst government workers continues across the oPt (teachers, healthcare practitioners and other PA workers in the West Bank and municipalities in the Gaza Strip). <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
