We do not have the health services here to treat them.<\/i>&#8221; &#8211; Yarmouk resident<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">On 13 February 2016, UNRWA conducted its first distribution of food assistance in Yalda since June 2015. Nine hundred families from Yalda, Babila, Beit Saham and Yarmouk were each provided with a 35 kg food parcel. <\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#00a1e0;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; UNRWA provided a total of 900 family food parcels from a new distribution point in Yalda, serving civilians residing in Yalda, Babila, Beit Saham and Yarmouk.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; Although some humanitarian assistance has entered these areas since the last UNRWA distribution in June 2015, humanitarian needs remain acute. The community indicated that food; non-food items (particularly winter blankets and clothing); water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); and health care were the greatest priorities.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:4px;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">&#8226; UNRWA plans to continue distribution operations tomorrow (14 February), aiming to provide 6,000 families with food parcels by the end of the week.
