France condemns the arrest of Aziz Dowek, President of the Palestinian Parliament, on August 5 in Ramallah, on the West Bank. <\/p><\/div>\n

This arrest, which comes on top of the previous arrests of parliamentarians and members of the Palestinian government since June 29, is not conducive to easing the current crisis. France reiterates its call for their release. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

We call on the two parties to put an end to the spiral of violence and to make the necessary gestures to this end. We call for the release of Corporal Gilad Shalit. The political process must take priority.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
