Statement by the Spokesperson on the latest attacks in Jerusalem<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Two new brutal attacks, two acts of terror have targeted Israelis in Jerusalem last night and early this morning. Two men died in the first attack and a woman and her two year old child were injured. A teenager was wounded in the second attack.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

We express our condolences to the families of those who died and wish a speedy recovery to those injured.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

These attacks are not only intended to cause human suffering, but also to undermine the prospects for peace. It is of utmost importance that all sides use all means at their disposal to condemn acts of violence, cooperate to bring perpetrators to justice, de-escalate the situation and contribute to calm and stability.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Jerusalem is a city sacred to three religions and all should be working for dignity and justice for people of all faiths.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The political solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, through negotiations, is urgently needed to end the human suffering on all sides.<\/p><\/div>\n
