The Logistics Cluster will now assess needs and the possibilities of whether the crossing can be used on a more permanent basis to support the humanitarian community transport relief items from Egypt into the Gaza Strip:<\/span><span style=\"color:#0000ff;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\"><u>&nbsp;<\/u><\/span><a style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">Throughout the ceasefire, the Logistics Cluster continues to monitor the impact on logistics access constraints, and the security of humanitarian space for the transport and distribution of relief supplies.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;padding-bottom:5px;font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><strong>Transport Services<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;padding-bottom:5px;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">&#8226;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">Since Logistics Cluster activation on the 30 July, 160 trucks transporting 4,175 pallets of humanitarian relief items including food, WASH and shelter supplies have been transported by the <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">&#8226;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">Logistics Cluster on behalf of the humanitarian community for distribution within the Gaza Strip.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;padding-bottom:5px;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">&#8226;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">34 humanitarian organisations have been supported by the Logistics Cluster since activation on 30 July, including the Premiere Urgence-Aide Medicale International (PU-AMI), Hebron Food Trade Association and UNICEF Jerusalem.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;padding-bottom:10px;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">&#8226;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">Out of a total of 4,175 pallets, the Logistics Cluster has facilitated the transportation of over 2,360 pallets of private donations from local organisations and civil society groups for distribution within have been secured by the Logistics Cluster for use as common storage for the humanitarian community inside the Gaza Strip. The warehouses are located in Middle Area\/Gaza City (800 m<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:5pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;capacity), Khan Younis (600 m<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:5pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;Capacity) and Rafah (450 m<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:5pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;Capacity) where an additional refrigerated warehouse (40 m<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:5pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;capacity) is available.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;padding-top:5px;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:10pt;font-family:Times New Roman, serif;\">&#8226;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;font-size:8pt;font-family:Arial, san-serif;\">Five staging areas for cargo consolidation, palletisation and loading prior to transportation have been made available by the Logistics Cluster for use by the humanitarian community.
