Gaza Strip:<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>The IDF killed five Palestinians and injured seven others in the North Gaza and Khan Younis governorates.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>26 Qassam rockets and 47 mortar shells were fired towards Israel. Eight mortars were fired at IDF soldiers inside the Gaza Strip.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>Sufa crossing continues to be closed since 28 October, following a GoI decision to close the crossing indefinitely. Subsequently, the GoI announced that the crossing will be reopened<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

on 25 November after some security arrangements are put in place. However, this week, shipments of lamb were exceptionally allowed entry into Gaza through Sufa on 14, 15, 18, 19 and 20 November. At present, however, Kerem Shalom is effectively the only crossing allowing the entry of commercial and humanitarian goods into Gaza.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>Thirteen demonstrations took place this week: six to protest against Israeli excavation activities around Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem; one to express opposition to the Annapolis conference as well as protest against excavation activities around Al Aqsa mosque; one to protest against the non-issuance of Palestinian ID cards; two to demand the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails; two to demand the re-opening of the Gaza border crossings; and one to celebrate Palestinian Independence Day.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

West Bank:<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>13 Palestinians were injured by the IDF and one by the Israeli Border Police, including seven children (Ramallah (4), Hebron (2), Bethlehem (1), and Tubas (7)). One Israeli settler was killed (Qalqiliya) and another was injured (Ramallah).<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>16 November: <\/strong><\/span>Israeli settlers from Elon Moreh settlement set fire to olive groves that belong to farmers from Deir al Hatab village. Fifty olive trees were burnt (Nablus).<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>19 November: <\/strong><\/span>An Israeli court concluded that the Israeli purchase of Al Rajabi House, located in the H2 area of Hebron City that overlooks the settlement of Kiryat Arba, was illegal. It also concluded that the police may evict the Jewish settlers who have been occupying it since March 2007 without recourse to a court order (Hebron).<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>The IDF imposed 35 hours of curfew in villages in the northern West Bank (Nablus, Qalqiliya and Tubas).<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

• <\/span>72 flying checkpoints, 91 search and arrest campaigns, and 53 arrests were reported.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
