Gaza Stri<\/strong>p<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>Eleven Palestinians, including three who were on <\/span>p<\/span>icnic east of Beit Hanun, were killed and five injured by the IDF.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>Six demonstrations and two sit-ins took <\/span>p<\/span>lace in various <\/span>p<\/span>arts of the Gaza Stri<\/span>p<\/span>, including five to <\/span>p<\/span>rotest against the siege.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>The IDF carried out three leveling and excavation o<\/span>p<\/span>erations in the Central Gaza and Rafah governorates.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>The Palestinian Po<\/span>p<\/span>ular Committee against the Siege organised a human chain of about 13,000 <\/span>p<\/span>eo<\/span>p<\/span>le on 25 Februar<\/span>y<\/span> to <\/span>p<\/span>rotest against the siege im<\/span>p<\/span>osed on the Gaza Stri<\/span>p<\/span>. The chain extended from Rafah to Beit Hanun along Salah Ed-Din road.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>42 rockets and 26 mortars were fired towards Israel, resulting in the injur<\/span>y<\/span> of one Israeli woman and two children.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

West Bank:<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>Twent<\/span>y<\/span>-one Palestinians were injured by the IDF, all in the northern West Bank.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>22 Februar<\/span>y<\/span>: A <\/span>p<\/span>risoner affiliated with Hamas died while in PA custod<\/span>y<\/span>. The PA claimed that the <\/span>p<\/span>risoner died of an underl<\/span>y<\/span>ing medical condition (Ramallah).<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>21 Februar<\/span>y<\/span>: Seventeen gas stations in Bethlehem Governorate closed down to <\/span>p<\/span>rotest against a decision by the Israeli authorities to transfer the fuel filing <\/span>p<\/span>oint from the village of Al Khader (Bethlehem) to Tarqumi<\/span>y<\/span>a (Hebron).<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>The IDF distributed 12 orders for the demolition of houses and other structures in the Qalqili<\/span>y<\/span>a governorate. In addition, the IDF occu<\/span>p<\/span>ied five houses in the Nablus, Bethlehem and Hebron governorates.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>The IDF handed over a confiscation and closure order stating that the Islamic Charitable Societ<\/span>y<\/span> in Hebron Cit<\/span>y<\/span> is an illegal organisation affiliated with Hamas and sti<\/span>p<\/span>ulating the confiscation of the contents and land of a number of establishments owned by the Societ<\/span>y<\/span> (including sho<\/span>p<\/span>s, warehouses and a school under construction) in Hebron Cit<\/span>y<\/span> as well as their closure for three <\/span>y<\/span>ears to be effective on 1 Ap<\/span>ril 2008.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>23 Februar<\/span>y<\/span>: The IDF issued militar<\/span>y<\/span> order number (T\/183\/5) for the requisition of 766 dunums of land from the towns of Dura, Adh Dhahiri<\/span>y<\/span>a and Ar Ramadeen for the <\/span>p<\/span>ur<\/span>p<\/span>ose of Barrier construction. 2,400 additional dunums will be isolated behind the Barrier.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

·\t<\/span><\/span>22 curfew hours, 83 fl<\/span>y<\/span>ing check<\/span>p<\/span>oints, 105 IDF search o<\/span>p<\/span>erations and 121 arrests were rep<\/span>orted.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
