Head of EUPOL COPPS Mission meets Prime Minister Fayyad<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Ramallah, 27<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span> March 2013, Head of EUPOL COPPS Mission, Kenneth Deane, met on Wednesday Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad in Ramallah and updated him on the assistance that the Mission provides in the areas of policing and criminal justice.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p><\/div>\n

Mr. Deane said that the Mission will continue to support Palestinian state building efforts mainly in support of the Palestinian Civil Police and judicial institutions in pursuit of their reform and development agendas. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Dr. Fayyad praised EUPOL COPPS for having provided technical and material assistance but more undoubtedly know-how to these institutions. adding that these bodies have made tremendous progress in the past few years.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Dr. Fayyad also emphasized the important role of the Mission in supporting the police primacy concept and activities based on the rule of law, praising the Palestinian Civil Police for acting “with modesty and full confidence” in dealing with the citizens.<\/p><\/div>\n
