North Jericho Road Block Lifted<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

The road had been block almost continuously for at least 10 years. The Quartet Representative has repeatedly lobbied the Israeli government to remove this road block, and its opening will improve access and reduce travel times for the many residents of the city of Jericho who work in agriculture in the Jordan Valley. It will also make for faster and more direct access for tourists and others wishing to access tourist sites in the Jordan Valley  The Israeli army has opened the road block to mark the month of Ramadan, but the Quartet Representative is hopeful that, if this opening is successful, the Israeli army will continue to keep it open.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
