According to the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Health figures, 1,326 Palestinians were killed during this period, including an estimated 430 children and 110 women. 5,450 Palestinians were injured, including 1,855 children and 795 women. With 56 percent of the population under 18, children were dangerously exposed to the fighting around them. <\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><span style=\"color:#2f2f2f;font-size:8pt;font-family:Verdana, san-serif;\">In this context, and as part of the UN Flash Appeal, UNDP&#8217;s efforts are focusing on a targeted set of early recovery activities to ensure that affected populations have immediate access to basic services &#8211; water, health and education &#8211; and livelihood opportunities.
