PALESTINIAN DANCE PERFORMANCE TO BE HELD AT HEADQUARTERS 29 NOVEMBER,<\/u><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

AS PART OF DAY OF SOLIDARITY OBSERVANCE<\/u><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

A Palestinian dance performance featuring the El-Funoun dance troupe will be presented by the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People in cooperation with the Permanent Observer Mission of Palestine to the United Nations.  El-Funoun will present the programme entitled “Dancing Tragedies and Dreams”.  The event will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, 29 November, in Conference Room 4.  It is organized in connection with the annual observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

The event will be opened by Paul Badji ( Senegal), Chairman of the Palestinian Rights Committee.  A statement will also be made by the Observer of Palestine.  The President of the General Assembly, the Secretary-General, the President of the Security Council, all permanent representatives to the United Nations, and high-level Secretariat officials have been invited to the event.<\/p><\/div>\n

The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people is observed in accordance with the provisions of General Assembly resolution 32\/40 B of 2 December 1977.<\/p><\/div>\n
