STATEMENT BY MINISTER MACKAY CONDEMNING TODAY’S SUICIDE BOMBING IN TEL AVIV<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay today issued the following statement condemning the bombing earlier today in Tel Aviv, Israel:<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

“This senseless, brutal attack on innocent civilians underscores yet again the continuing threat to Israel’s security and the urgent need for the Palestinian government to live up to its responsibility to prevent terrorism. It is imperative that the Palestinian Authority work with Israel to bring to justice those responsible. Canada condemns all such acts of violence.<\/p><\/div>\n

“All Canadians join me in expressing our sincere condolences to the people of Israel and especially to the families of the victims of this shameless act.”<\/p><\/div>\n
