\n addressed to the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

I am writing to inform you of yet another terrorist attack on innocent Israelis which took place this afternoon at the main entrance to Jerusalem, near the Chords Bridge. A 21-year-old Palestinian terrorist deliberately rammed his car into a crowd of people waiting for a bus. Fourteen people were wounded, including a one-and-a-half-year-old baby and a 65-year-old woman. After the terrorist was prevented from carrying out further carnage by security forces, a search of his car revealed an axe. One can only imagine the bloodshed that would have ensued had the terrorist been able to carry out his entire intended plan.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

This attack is a grim reminder that attacks against Israeli citizens can occur at any time and at any place, sparing no one, young or old.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Since I last wrote to you, on 19 November<\/span> (5\/2015\/893),<\/a> 33 terrorist attacks have been carried out that deliberately targeted Israeli citizens. Sadly, as we saw this afternoon, this has become a daily reality. During this period of time, two Israelis have been killed and 58 have been injured in stabbings, shootings and car-ramming attacks. A complete list detailing the terror attacks that have taken place since my last letter is annexed to the present letter.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Such horrendous acts of terror are a direct result of the malicious incitement and violent rhetoric coming from the highest levels of leadership of the Palestinian Authority. On 5 December, Saeb Erekat, a senior official of the Palestinian Authority and a top aide to President Abbas, paid his condolences to the family of a Palestinian terrorist, a member of the Palestinian security services who shot an Israeli soldier and a civilian bystander.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

During the visit, Mr. Erekat legitimized such acts of terror by describing them as mere "resistance". When the Palestinian Authority's chief negotiator in the peace process visits the home of a known terrorist and advocates violence, it is no wonder that Israel's repeated calls to the Palestinians for a resumption of the peace talks fall on deaf ears.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

I call on you to condemn the constant incitement by the Palestinian Authority and the ongoing wave of terror attacks and to call on the Palestinian Authority to put an end once and for all to this culture of hate.<\/p><\/div>\n

I should be grateful if you would have the present letter and its annex distributed as a document of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n

Terror attacks in Israel from 19 November to 14 December 2015<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The following is a review of major terror attacks against Israeli civilians that have occurred since 19 November. This is a partial list that does not include attacks thwarted by the security forces or the instances of rock throwing and Molotov cocktail attacks that did not result in severe injuries.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

14 December<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Jerusalem: <\/strong><\/span>Eleven people were wounded, including a baby, in a vehicular ramming attack near the Chords Bridge at the entrance to Jerusalem. The attacker, a 21-year-old from Beit Hanina in East Jerusalem, arrived in a private vehicle at and proceeded to drive into a bus stop, hitting several people. An axe was found in the terrorist's car<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Kiryat Arba, Gush Etzion: <\/strong><\/span>A Palestinian woman who attempted to stab a civilian was apprehended by the Israel Defense Forces<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

11 December<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Halhoul junction <\/strong><\/span>(near Kiryat Arba): A terrorist attempted to run over soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Jalameh (Gilboa) crossing: <\/strong><\/span>Shots were fired at soldiers from a Palestinian vehicle<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

10 December<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Beit Aryeh: <\/strong><\/span>Four Israelis were injured in a vehicular attack<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Beitar Mit: <\/strong><\/span>A three-week-old baby was injured in an attack in which terrorists stoned a car with a mother and her children inside<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

9 December<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Hebron: <\/strong><\/span>One Israeli soldier and one Israeli civilian were injured in a stabbing attack at the entrance of the Beit Hadassah building<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Avnei Hefetz (northern West Bank): <\/strong><\/span>Two Israelis were seriously injured in a shooting attack<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

Hebron: <\/strong>An Israeli man (40 years of age) was very critically injured in a stabbing attack near the Tomb of the Patriarchs<\/p><\/div>\n

6 December<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Jerusalem: <\/strong><\/span>An Arab resident (21 years of age) of the Beit Hanina neighbourhood in Jerusalem ran over two civilians with his car and then exited the vehicle and stabbed a volunteer police officer. Three people were slightly injured<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

5 December<\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Hebron: <\/strong><\/span>A female Palestinian (18 years of age) drew a knife at a checkpoint and was arrested<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

4 December<\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Ofra, Benyamin Region <\/strong><\/span>(northwest of Jerusalem): Two soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces were injured in a ramming attack<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Abud, Benyamin Region: <\/strong><\/span>A Palestinian stabbed an Israel Defense Forces soldier in the neck<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Hebron: <\/strong><\/span>Two terrorists carried out a stabbing attack against an Israel Defense Forces soldier<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

3 December<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Jerusalem, <\/strong><\/span>near the Old City: A terrorist stabbed a police officer (35 years of age)<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Pesagot, Benyamin Region <\/strong><\/span>(near Ramallah): Shots were fired at a car belonging to an Israeli; no injuries<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Jerusalem, Hizma checkpoint: <\/strong><\/span>A Palestinian man (a member of the Palestinian Authority intelligence agency) exited his car and opened fire. One soldier (20 years of age) and one civilian (47 years of age) were wounded<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

1 December<\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Einav junction, <\/strong><\/span>near Nablus, Samaria: A female assailant attempted to stab an officer<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Gush Etzion: <\/strong><\/span>A terrorist (16 years of age) tried to stab a man (35 years of age) at a hitchhiking stop. One Israeli man was slightly injured by gunfire<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

29 November<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Jerusalem: <\/strong><\/span>A woman (foreign worker, about 30 years of age, was stabbed and slightly wounded. The assailant (17 years of age) was arrested<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Jerusalem: <\/strong><\/span>A police officer was moderately wounded in a stabbing attack near Damascus Gate. The terrorist was shot and killed<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

27 November<\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Beit Omar, <\/strong><\/span>near Hebron: Six soldiers were injured in a car-ramming attack<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Kfar Adumim junction: <\/strong><\/span>Two soldiers were injured in a car-ramming attack at a bus stop<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Tapuah junction <\/strong><\/span>(Samaria): In a car-ramming attack, three soldiers and a border police officer were injured<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Route 443: <\/strong><\/span>Ziv Mizrahi (18 years of age) was stabbed to death and two women were injured in a terrorist attack at a gas station on the highway between Jerusalem and Modi'in<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Samaria, near Nablus: <\/strong><\/span>A Palestinian attempted to stab an Israel Defense Forces soldier<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Northern Samaria: <\/strong><\/span>One civilian was slightly injured in an attempted ramming attack; the driver escaped<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Jerusalem: <\/strong><\/span>A stabbing attack took place on Jaffa Road. Two Palestinian teens (females, 14 and 16 years of age) attacked passers-by with scissors, wounding an elderly Palestinian man (70 years of age)<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Gush Etzion junction: <\/strong><\/span>Hadar Buchris (21 years of age) was stabbed to death by a terrorist<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Kfar Adumim: <\/strong><\/span>An attempted ramming\/stabbing attack took place. A Palestinian taxi driver rammed his vehicle into a car being driven by an Israeli on Route 1, by Kfar Adumim junction. He then got out of the car and stabbed the Israeli driver in the hand<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

•<\/span> Samaria Brigade junction: <\/strong><\/span>Stabbing attack foiled. A female Palestinian (16 years of age) pulled out a knife and charged at a young woman waiting at a bus stop<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

21 November<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

•<\/span> <\/strong><\/span>Kiryat Gat: <\/strong><\/span>Four people were wounded in a stabbing attack, including a 13-year-old girl<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
