Supplemental information<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>The Chief of Staff of UNTSO, Major-General Ensio Siilasvuo, has submitted the following report on incidents observed by United Nations military observers and complaints received from the parties on 11 October 1972:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Israel-Lebanon sector<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

1.\t<\/span>OP 1<\/u>\/ reports:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

OP Has: Between 0503 2<\/u>\/ and 1530 Israel forces personnel, armoured personnel carrier and trailer reoccupied position at point at approximate MR 1907-2749 north of border pillar 19.  Between 1225 and 1234 sporadic machine-gun fire and between 1307 and 1311 machine-gun fire by Israel forces.<\/p><\/div>\n

2.\t<\/span>Complaints by the parties:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

A complaint has been received from Lebanon alleging that on 10 October between 0715 and 0730 two Israel forces jet aircraft overflew the Lebanese regions of El Khiam (approximate MR 2075-3035), Hasbaiya approximate MR 2147-3115), Rachaiya El Ouadi (approximate MR 2285-3220), Jezzine (24 kilometres north-north-west of OP Khiam), Nabatiye (approximate MR 1958-3090), Saida, Sour (approximate MR 169-297) and Naqpura (approximate MR 1636-2804).<\/p><\/div>\n

The above complaint was  confirmed by United Nations  observation  (see S\/7930\/Add.l763).<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Israel-Syria sector <\/u>1.  OP reports:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

(a)\t<\/span>OP Victor:  Between 0435 and 0438 machine-gun fire by Israel forces (confirmed by OP Three).<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

(b)\t<\/span>OP Two:   Between 2025 and 2031 seven mortar rounds by Israel forces (confirmed by OP Five).<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

2.   Complaints by the parties:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

A complaint has been received from Israel alleging that on the night of 9 to 10 October a group of armed persons crossed the ABFDLs (the area between the limits of the forward defended localities indicating the cease-fire line) into Israel-held territory north-west of OP Yoke.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The above complaint was not confirmed by United Nations observation.<\/p><\/div>\n
