Agenda item 32: Report of the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories <\/strong>(continued<\/i>)<\/p><\/div>\n

1.  The Chairman<\/strong> said that he wished to reschedule the meeting in view of the resumed tenth emergency special session of the General Assembly and in order not to waste the conference facilities assigned to the Committee. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

2.   Ms. Rasheed<\/strong> (Observer for Palestine) asked the Committee to postpone any decision on the draft resolutions under agenda items 32 and 33 until the following week, to allow more time for consultations with interested delegations. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

3.  Mr. Taalas <\/strong>(Finland), speaking on behalf of the European Union, endorsed the request. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

4.   The Chairman<\/strong> said he took it that the Committee wished to defer consideration of the draft resolutions in question until the following week. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

5.   It was so decided.<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The meeting rose at 10.25 a.m.<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n
