Held in private at Headquarters, New York, on Monday, <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  In accordance with rule 55 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, the following communiqué was issued through the Secretary-General in place of a verbatim record: <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

 “On 24 January 2005, the Security Council, pursuant to annex II, sections A and B of resolution 1353 (2001), held its 5115th meeting in private with the troop-contributing countries to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and to the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO). <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  “The President, with the consent of the Council, extended an invitation under rule 39 of the Council’s provisional rules of procedure to Mr. Hédi Annabi, Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  “The members of the Security Council, the troop-contributing countries to UNIFIL and UNTSO heard a briefing by Mr. Hédi Annabi. <\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  “The members of the Council, representatives of participating troop-contributing countries and Mr. Annabi had a constructive exchange of views.” <\/p><\/div>\n
