Official communiqué of the 4901st (closed) meeting of the Security Council<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Held in private at Headquarters, New York, on Friday,
\n23 January 2004, at 3.45 p.m.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

  In accordance with rule 55 of the provisional rules of procedure of the Security Council, the following communiqué was issued through the Secretary-General in place of a verbatim record:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t  “On 23 January 2004, the Security Council, pursuant to annex II, sections A and B of resolution <\/span>1353 (2001)<\/a>, held its 4901st meeting in private with the troop-contributing countries to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t  “The Security Council and the troop-contributing countries heard a briefing under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure by Mr. Julian Marston, Acting Director for Asia and Middle East Division of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations.”\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
