Draft resolution <\/i><\/span>A\/C.3\/60\/L.19<\/i><\/a>: The situation of and assistance to Palestinian children <\/i><\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

3.   Mr. Afifi<\/strong> (Egypt), introducing the draft resolution on behalf of the original sponsors as well as Belize, Brunei Darussalam, China, the Comoros, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya and Pakistan, said that minor changes had been made to the text. The draft resolution, which was particularly relevant in the light of the continuing dire situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, would help to alleviate the suffering of and send a clear message of hope to Palestinian children. <\/p><\/div>\n

4.  The Chairman<\/strong> announced that Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Namibia, Qatar, Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of) and Zimbabwe had also joined in sponsoring the draft resolution. <\/p><\/div>\n
