Resolution adopted by the General Assembly<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

[<\/span>without reference to a Main Committee <\/i><\/span>(A\/ES-10\/L.12 and Add.1)<\/i><\/a>]<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t\t<\/span>ES-10\/12.\t<\/span>Illegal Israeli actions in Occupied East Jerusalem and the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>The General Assembly<\/i>,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Recalling <\/i>the previous resolutions adopted at its tenth emergency special session,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span>Recalling also <\/i><\/span>Security Council resolutions <\/span>242 (1967) <\/a>of 22 November 1967,<\/span> 338 (1973)<\/a> of 22 October 1973, 1397 (2002) of 12 March 2002, 1402 (2002) of 30 March 2002, 1403 (2002) of 4 April 2002, 1405 (2002) of 19 April 2002 and 1435 (2002) of 24 September 2002, <\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Reiterating its grave concern <\/i>at the tragic and violent events that have taken place since September 2000 which have caused enormous suffering and many innocent victims throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and in Israel,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span>Condemning<\/i><\/span> the suicide bombings and their recent intensification, and recalling in that regard that in the framework of the road map,<\/span> S\/2003\/529, annex.<\/span> the Palestinian Authority has to take all necessary measures to end violence and terror,<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Deploring<\/i> the extrajudicial killings and their recent escalation, and underlining that they are a violation of international law and international humanitarian law and compromise the efforts to relaunch the peace process and must be stopped,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Reaffirming <\/i>the illegality of the deportation of any Palestinian by Israel, the occupying Power, and affirming its opposition to any such deportation,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span>Reiterating <\/i><\/span>the need for respect, in all circumstances, of international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949,<\/span> United Nations, <\/span>Treaty Series<\/i><\/span>, vol. 75, No. 973.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>1.\t<\/span>Reiterates its demand<\/i> for the complete cessation of all acts of violence, including all acts of terrorism, provocation, incitement and destruction;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>2.\t<\/span>Demands <\/i>that Israel, the occupying Power, desist from any act of deportation and cease any threat to the safety of the elected President of the Palestinian Authority;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>3.\t<\/span>Expresses its full support<\/i> for the efforts of the Quartet, and demands that the two sides fully implement their obligations in accordance with the road map,1 and emphasizes in this context the importance of the forthcoming meeting of the Quartet in New York;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>4.\t<\/span>Decides <\/i>to adjourn the tenth emergency special session temporarily and to authorize the current President of the General Assembly to resume its meeting upon request from Member States.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
