\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>Reaffirming<\/i> its respect for the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span>Recalling<\/i><\/span> the 2005 World Summit Outcome<\/span>1<\/sup><\/span> and especially its paragraphs 138 and 139,<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>1.\t<\/span><\/span>Takes note with appreciation<\/i><\/span> of the report of the Secretary-General<\/span>2<\/sup><\/span><\/sup><\/span>and of the timely and productive debate organized by the President of the General Assembly on the responsibility to protect held on 21, 23, 24 and 28 July 2009,<\/span>3 <\/sup><\/span>with full participation by Member States;<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>2.\t<\/span>Decides<\/i> to continue its consideration of the responsibility to protect.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
