from the Council of Ministers of the<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:center;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><u>Tunisian Republic<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">This morning, 10 October 1990, at the Palais de Carthage, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali presided over the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\">At the conclusion of the discussions, Mr. Ahmed Khaled, Minister of Culture and Information, made the following statement:<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t&quot;The Council has reviewed the serious situation in the Occupied Territories generally, and in the town of Al-Quds in particular, after the profanation of the Al-Aqsa mosque by the Zionist occupation forces, and has strongly condemned the odious crimes perpetrated by those forces against unarmed Palestinian civilians.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t&quot;On this occasion, the President of the Tunisian Republic once again paid tribute to the courage and bravery of the Palestinian people in the heroic struggle they have been waging to defend the sacred places of Islam against Zionist aggression, as it has done before in the case of the holy places of Christianity and in that of Al-Quds.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"color:#000000;text-align:left;font-size:10pt;font-family:Courier New, serif, monospace;margin-left:40px;\">\n\t\t\t\t&quot;The Head of State made an urgent appeal to the Security Council to take all concrete and urgent steps to deter Israel and to induce that country to put an end to its arrogance and its blind repression against the intifadah of the valiant Palestinian people, and its contempt for international law and United Nations resolutions.
