\t<\/span>The fifty-fifth report of the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine, covering the period from 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2001, was transmitted by the Chairman of the Commission for communication to the States Members of the United Nations in accordance with paragraph 6 of <\/span>General Assembly resolution 512 (VI)<\/a> of 26 January 1952 and paragraph 2 of <\/span>Assembly resolution 55\/123<\/a> of 8 December 2000. The text of the report of the Commission is contained in the annex to the present note.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

Fifty-fifth report of the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>In paragraph 2 of its resolution 55\/123 of 8 December 2000, the General Assembly requested the Commission to report to the Assembly as appropriate, but no later than 1 September 2001. The Commission notes its report of 31 August 2000 (<\/span>A\/55\/329, annex<\/a>) and observes that it has nothing new to report since its submission.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
