\t<\/span>The Security Council<\/i>,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Having heard<\/i> the statement of the representative of Lebanon,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Recalling<\/i> its resolutions 425 (1978) and 426 (1978) and all subsequent resolutions on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Reiterating<\/i> its strong support for the territorial integrity, sovereignty and political independence of Lebanon within its internationally recognized boundaries,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Having studied<\/i> the report of the Secretary-General on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (S\/16036) and taking note of the conclusions and recommendations expressed therein,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Taking note<\/i> of the letter of the Permanent Representative of Lebanon to the Secretary-General of the United Nations (S\/16036, para. 20),<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Responding<\/i> to the request of the Government of Lebanon,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>1.\t<\/span>Decides<\/i> to extend the present mandate of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon for a further interim period of six months, that is, until 19 April 1984;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>2.\t<\/span>Calls upon<\/i> all parties concerned to fully co-operate with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon for the full implementation of its mandate (as defined in resolutions 425 (1978) and 426 (1978) and the relevant decisions of the Security Council);<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>3.\t<\/span>Requests<\/i> the Secretary-General to report to the Council on the progress made in this respect.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
