3090 (XXVIII).  Working Group on the Financing of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>The General Assembly,<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Recalling <\/i> its  resolutions  2656 (XXV)  of  7  December 1970, 2728 (XXV) of 15 December 1970, 2791 (XXVI) of 6 December 1971 and 2963 (XXVII) and 2964 (XXVII) of 13 December 1972,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Having considered<\/i> the report of the Working Group on the Financing of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East,1<\/u>\/<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Taking into account<\/i> the annual report of the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, covering the period from 1 July 1972 to 30 June 1973,2<\/u>\/<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Deeply concerned<\/i> at the financial situation of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, which continues to be serious, thereby endangering the essential services being provided to Palestine refugees,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Convinced<\/i> of the continuing need for extraordinary efforts in order to maintain, at least at their present minimum level, the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees in the Near East,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>1.\t<\/span>Commends<\/i> the Working Group on the Financing of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East for its work;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>2.\t<\/span>Notes with appreciation<\/i> the report of the Working Group;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>3.\t<\/span>Requests<\/i> the Working Group to continue its efforts, in co-operation with the Secretary-General and the Commissioner-General, for the financing of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East for a further period of one year;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>4.\t<\/span>Requests<\/i> the Secretary-General to provide the necessary services and assistance to the Working Group for the conduct of its work.<\/p><\/div>\n
