Letter dated 4 September 1975 from the Permanent Representative <\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

of Lebanon<\/u> <\/u>to the United Nations addressed to the Secretary-General<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\t<\/span>On instructions from my Government and pursuant to our letter of 21 August 1975 (<\/span>A\/10206 – S\/11810<\/a> and Corr.l), I have the honour to inform you of the following:<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>On 28 August 1975, four Israeli phantom Jets bombed and strafed the Palestinian Refugee Camp at Burghuliyeh and the adjacent fields. One house in the town was destroyed. Another house and the crops were damaged.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>On 31 August, Israeli artillery shelled the village of Kfar Chouba.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>On 2 September, at 1250 hours, Israeli artillery intermittently shelled the vineyards surrounding Rachaya el-Fukhkhar. At 1830 hours, four Israeli phantom Jets bombed the vicinity of Abou Qamha from a high altitude.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>On 3 September, at 1300 hours, six Israeli jets bombed Al-Qasimiyeh and the Burghuliyeh Camp. As a result, four Lebanese civilians were wounded, 15 houses were destroyed, several heads of cattle were killed, and substantial damage was done to the neighbouring fields.<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>The Lebanese Government strongly protests these repeated acts of aggression committed by Israel against Lebanon in flagrant violation of the Lebanese-Israeli Armistice Agreement and in defiance of numerous Security Council resolutions.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The unjustifiable, wilful and vindictive perseverance of Israeli attacks are of such a nature as to undermine the efforts and steps undertaken to achieve a just and durable peace in the Middle East.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>I have the honour to request that this letter be circulated as an official document of the General Assembly and of the Security Council.<\/p><\/div>\n
