Noting <\/i>the reports submitted by the Director-General concerning the measures taken in the Middle East for the implementation of the Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (l954),<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

l.  Thanks <\/i>the Director-General for his action in implementation of the said Convention;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

2.  Recommends<\/i> Member States to take, with the help of the two Commissioners-General, all necessary measures to conform to the articles of the Convention and to the provisions of the recommendation concerning the international principles applicable in the case of archaeological excavations adopted by the General Conference of Unesco at its ninth session (l956).<\/p><\/div>\n
