2001\/248.   Human rights situation of the Lebanese detainees in Israel<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

\t\t<\/span>At its 40th plenary meeting, on 24 July 2001, the Economic and Social Council, taking note of <\/span>Commission on Human Rights resolution 2001\/10<\/a> of 18 April 2001, <\/span>1<\/u><\/span>\/ approved the Commission’s requests to the Secretary-General:<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>(a)\t<\/span>To bring Commission resolution 2001\/10 to the attention of the Government of Israel and to call upon it 51ÁÔÆæ its provisions;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(b)\t<\/span>To report to the General Assembly at its fifty-sixth session and to the Commission at its fifty-eighth session on the results of his efforts in this regard.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
