The Chief of Staff of UNTSO, Major-General Snsio Siilasvuo, has submitted the following report on incidents observed by United nations military observers and Complaints received from the parties on 6 October 1972:<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\t\t\t\tIsrael-Lebanon sector\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t1.\t<\/span>OP 1<\/u>\/ reports on ground activity:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tOP Ras:    Between 0430 2<\/u>\/ and 1537 Israel forces personnel,  armoured personnel carrier and trailer reoccupied position at point approximate MR 1907-2749 north of border pillar 19. Between 0610 and 0625 sporadic machine-gun fire by Israel forces.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t2.\t<\/span>OP reports on air activity:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tOP Naq: Between 0755 and 0756 four Israel forces jet aircraft flying south to north turning east and south were first observed east-south-east of OP, and last observed east of OP.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t3.\t<\/span>Complaints by the parties:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tA complaint has been received from Lebanon alleging that on 5 October between 0930 and 0950 seven Israel forces jet aircraft overflew the Lebanese regions of Rmaich-(approximate MR 1847-2740), Nebatiye (approximate MR 1956-309), Karacun (28 kilometres north-north-east of OP Khiam), Rachaiya El Ouadi (approximate MR 2285-3220), Hasbaiya (approximate 2147-3115) and El Kbiam (approximate MR 2075-3035).\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tThe above complaint was not confirmed by United Nations observation. However, OP Has reported jet sounds at 0934.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tIsrael-Syria sector<\/u>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tOP reports:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(a) OP Romeo: Between 0531 and 0534 machine-gun fire by Israel force.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(b)  OP Two: At 1000 machine-gun fire, which ceased immediately, by Israel forces.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t(c)\t<\/span>OP Three: Between 1932 and 1934 machine-gun fire and flares by Israel forces.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tSuez Canal sector<\/u>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tComplaints by the parties:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tA complaint has been received from Israel alleging that on 5 October at 2145 one rifle round was fired across the Suez Canal by Egyptian forces at Israel forces position south-east of OP Echo.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tThe above complaint was not confirmed by United Nations observation.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
