\t<\/span>The General Assembly,<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Recalling <\/i> its  resolutions  2656  (XXV)  of  7 December 1970, 2728 (XXV) of 15 December 1970 and 2791 (XXVI) of 6 December 1971,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Having considered<\/i> the report of the Working Group on the Financing of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East,1<\/u>\/<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Taking into account<\/i> the annual report of the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, covering the period from 1 July 1971 to 30 June 1972,2<\/u>\/<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Recognizing with grave concern<\/i> that the financial situation of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near 4East continues to be acute, thereby endangering the already minimum services being provided to Palestine refugees,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>Emphasizing<\/i> the continuing need for extraordinary efforts in order to maintain, at least at their present level, the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East,<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>1.\t<\/span>Commends<\/i> the Working Group on the Financing of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East for its work;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>2.\t<\/span>Notes with appreciation<\/i> the report of the Working Group;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>3.\t<\/span>Endorses<\/i> the conclusion of the Working Group that further vigorous and constant fund-raising activities on behalf of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East are essential;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>4.\t<\/span>Requests<\/i> the Working Group to continue its efforts, in co-operation with the Secretary-General and the Commissioner-General, for the financing of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East for a further period of one year;<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n

\t<\/span>5. \t<\/span>Requests<\/i> the Secretary-General to provide the necessary services and assistance to the Working Group for the conduct of its work.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
