\n\t\t\t\tFully aware<\/i> of the severe economic and social conditions under which the Palestinian people are living in the occupied territories,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tConscious<\/i> of the significance of economic growth to the generation of job creation for poverty reduction and promotion of peace and stability,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tTaking note<\/i> of the Palestinian Authority’s successful efforts in reforming its financial system, ensuring a high level of transparency and rehabilitating its economy,\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tNoting<\/i> with satisfaction the valuable support rendered by UNIDO to the Palestinian economy by implementing the integrated programme to develop and upgrade the Palestinian industrial sector, and in particular, the encouraging outcome of the pilot phase of this programme that started in 2000:\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t1.\t<\/span>Expresses its appreciation to Member States and UNIDO for providing the funds needed to carry out the pilot phase of the programme;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t2.\t<\/span>Emphasizes the need to continue implementing in full the next phase of the programme;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t3.\t<\/span>Encourages Member States to contribute funding to the next phase of the programme;\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\t4.\t<\/span>Requests the Director-General to keep Member States informed of the achievements in this regard.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
