\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>I have the honour to transmit to you herewith the text of a declaration concerning Quneitra adopted on 12 September 1974 by the Co-ordinating Committee of the Group of Non-Aligned Countries accredited to the United Nations.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n
\n\t\t\t\tI should be grateful if you would arrange to have the text of this declaration published as an official document of the Security Council.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

The Quneitra Appeal<\/u><\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The Council of the League of Arab States, meeting in its 62nd regular session at Cairo, from 1 to 5 September 1974, issues this appeal – The Quneitra Appeal- to all Governments, international and regional organizations in and organizations t consultative status in order to expose the criminal acts perpetrated by Israeli forces in the town of Quneitra, which came under occupation by those forces in 1967.<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

\t<\/span>The sinister Zionist hatred of the Arab Nation manifested itself in its clearest forms when the Israeli forces withdrew from the town of Quneitra, leaving it in ruins, after having pillaged and laid waste all its structures and facilities as well as its historical monuments. It has been established beyond all doubt that these criminal acts were not the outcome of military operations, but were deliberate and premeditated. The whole town was demolished by means of explosives and the remains were levelled with bulldozers.<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>The Council of the League is laying before the world what happened in Quneitra so that it may see the vengeful and criminal acts committed by the Zionists in the Middle East region, the land of peace and the cradle of religions, and in order to emphasize at the same time that the Arabs, advocates of peace and love, are determined to recover their occupied territories and towns and are capable of removing all traces of occupation therefrom.<\/p><\/div>\n

\t<\/span>The Council of the League invites all those who believe in human rights and oppose acts of annihilation to visit the town of Quneitra to see for themselves how Israel has destroyed all its pretensions by its destruction of the houses of this town, in utter disregard for all human values and international norms, laws and resolutions. The Syrian Arab Republic will provide all necessary facilities to those wishing to visit Quneitra to ascertain the full facts.<\/p><\/div>\n
